Job Summary and Qualifications

The Emegency Room (ER) Registered Nurse (RN) coordinates and delivers high quality, patient-centered care in accordance with the nature and specific requirements of the department, and consistent with the scope and standards of practice for the relevant state and specialty. In collaboration with medical providers and other members of the care team, the ER RN provides individualized, comprehensive, and compassionate care using established nursing models such as “Assess, Perform, Teach, and Manage.” The ER RN serves as an advocate for patients/families/caregivers and models a commitment to the organization’s vision/mission/values to support an unparalleled patient experience and clinical outcomes that contribute to overall departmental performance.

  • Assesses patient pain regularly to promote effective pain management, including reassessments after appropriate intervention.
  • Performs procedures, monitoring, or other functions as ordered by the medical provider(s). Documents the administration of care in the patient medical record in a timely and thorough manner.
  • Performs exceptional care by responding promptly to patient requests. Strives to anticipate patient needs and resolve them proactively.
  • Teaches patients/families/caregivers about patient medical condition, patient status, treatment plan, medications and possible side effects, and follow-up measures. Translates complex medical terminology to ensure complete understanding.
  • Teaches patients/families/caregivers about any non-medicinal follow-up measures, such as healthy diet and exercise, disease prevention, and/or other lifestyle changes. Prepares patients and families/caregivers for future self-management.
What qualifications you will need:

  • Current Georgia RN license or compact RN license
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing program
  • BLS certification required
  • ACLS required within established timeframe
  • Emergency Department experience preferred
  • Strong critical thinking and communication skills

Home Therapies RN position - Dialysis HHD PD This position will primarily be in Aiken PURPOSE AND SCOPE: The registered professional nurse Home Therapies RN CAP 1 is an entry level designation into the Clinical Advancement Program (CAP). This position is accountable and responsible for the provision and coordination of clinically competent care including assessment, planning, intervention and evaluation for an assigned group of patients. Assesses and manages patients’ response to home dialysis training and treatment therapy by following prescribed predetermined protocols and communicates patient related issues to the physician as needed. As a member of the End Stage Kidney Disease (ESKD) health care team, this position participates in decision-making, teaching, leadership functions, and quality improvement activities that enhance patient care outcomes and facility operations. EXPERIENCE AND REQUIRED SKILLS: · Entry level for RNs with less than 2 years of Nephrology Nursing experience as a Registered Nurse. · Minimum of 1-year experience as a Registered Nurse (preferred) · Home dialysis therapy experience (preferred).
