Essential Qualifications:

  • Competency in seizure monitoring and quick response protocols
  • Ability to administer Diastat confidently and efficiently
  • Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working independently on a school bus
  • Clear background check and up-to-date immunizations per school requirements

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ride the school bus each morning and afternoon with a high school student
  • Monitor for seizure activity and provide prompt intervention as needed
  • Administer Diastat should a seizure occur, following prescribed care plans
  • Communicate promptly with school staff, parents, and healthcare providers as required
  • Maintain accurate records of observations and any interventions during transit
  • Foster a supportive, calm, and safe environment on the bus
