The assignment runs from September 3, 2026, through June 25, 2027, with the possibility of renewal for the summer and following academic year for the right candidate.

This position centers on ensuring safety and well-being during daily school bus rides, performing seizure monitoring, and administering Diastat as needed. Qualifications & Desired Experience:

• Active LPN or RN license required
• Relevant experience as a school nurse (LPN/LVN or RN) preferred
• Strong skills in seizure monitoring and emergency protocol implementation
• Confident administering Diastat
• Demonstrated reliability, professionalism, and compassion
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate with students, families, and staff

Primary Responsibilities:

• Ride the school bus to and from school with a high school student
• Monitor the student for seizure activity, responding promptly to health episodes
• Administer Diastat quickly and correctly when necessary
• Maintain clear, timely communication with the healthcare and school team
• Document care activities according to school and nursing protocols
