This part-time, contract position seeks a dedicated nurse to provide one-on-one care for a student with a tracheostomy (no interventions currently required). This opportunity runs through the end of the school year and into the summer session, allowing you to build meaningful connections while making a direct impact each day.

Requirements:

  • Current MA LPN or RN ASN license
  • Prior experience in a school, pediatric, or similar setting is strongly preferred
  • Confidence in providing trach care, monitoring, and responding to health needs
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities for working within a classroom team
  • Ability to engage compassionately and professionally with students, staff, and families

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver individualized nursing care for a student with a tracheostomymonitoring, supporting, and responding as needed
  • Work in the classroom setting during morning hours (MonFri, 8:00am2:00pm, through June 23; MonThurs, 8:00am12:30pm, July 6Aug 6)
  • Communicate effectively with teachers and support staff, ensuring seamless care throughout the day
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment for the student
  • Maintain thorough and accurate health records in accordance with school policies
