We are hiring for multiple CNA opportunities within our Critical Access Hospital and Long-Term Care settings in Chester, Montana, including full-time and PRN positions. Select opportunities are also available for CNA students and Medication Aides.

Not a CNA yet? We will help you get there. Logan Health offers paid CNA training that includes classroom instruction, hands-on clinical experience and support to prepare for the Montana State CNA written and skills exams — all while earning a paycheck as a Logan Health employee.

You'll be interviewed and hired into a specific position and schedule before training begins, so you'll know where you're headed and have a team ready to welcome you. Upon successfully completing training and passing the Montana CNA certification exam, you'll transition into your CNA role with the skills and support to continue building your healthcare career.

At the heart of the community is Logan Health – Chester, a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital providing care to Liberty County and the surrounding area. The facility provides 24-hour nursing care and offers emergency and trauma services, inpatient and acute care, skilled services and long-term care.

Chester Critical Access Hospital
Available schedules: PRN

Chester Long-Term Care
Available schedules: Full-Time Days 3×12, 36 hours/week | PRN

  • Build meaningful, ongoing relationships with residents while supporting daily living, comfort, mobility, and quality of life

  • Become a trusted and familiar member of the care team for residents and their families

  • Develop strong foundational CNA skills through consistent hands-on patient care and collaboration with experienced nursing staff

  • CNA students may be considered for select full-time opportunities

Certified Medication Assistant II – Chester CAH/LTC
Available schedule: Full-Time, 36 hours/week | 12-hour variable shifts

  • Build on your CNA experience by supporting medication administration and resident care within your approved scope of practice

  • Work closely with licensed nursing staff to promote safe, timely, and compassionate care

  • Continue developing your clinical skills while gaining experience that can support future growth within healthcare

  • Provide direct patient and resident care including hygiene, dressing, toileting, mobility assistance, repositioning, and comfort

  • Obtain and communicate vital signs and other patient or resident observations within your scope

  • Assist with meals, hydration, activities of daily living, and maintaining a safe care environment

  • Support patients and residents with dignity, compassion, and respect

  • Recognize and communicate changes or concerns to nursing staff

  • Assist nursing staff with documentation and communication

  • Collaborate with RNs, providers, and interdisciplinary team members

Training Schedule

  • Start Date: September 8, 2026 (Tuesday after Labor Day)

  • Training Dates: September 8th – October 2nd

  • Monday – Friday, 8:00am – 4:30pm for 3 weeks

Weeks 1–2 — Classroom (Didactic) & Skills Lab

Build a strong foundation in core CNA skills, patient and resident care fundamentals, safety, mobility, activities of daily living, infection prevention, communication, and essential healthcare knowledge.

Weeks 3— Clinical Rotations

Gain hands-on experience at Logan Health facilities under the supervision of experienced clinical instructors. You'll put your classroom and skills-lab training into practice while developing the confidence and competencies needed to provide safe, compassionate care.

Graduates are well-prepared to begin working as CNAs in settings including Critical Access Hospital and Long-Term Care — with clear opportunities to continue learning and growing within Logan Health.

Included in the course: Textbook and voucher for scrubs provided.
