Location: Milwaukee, WI

A school district in Milwaukee is seeking Registered Nurses (RNs) and Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to provide 1:1 nursing support to students. Nurses will be assigned to one school site and work directly with one student throughout the school day.

Position Details:

Full-time, 37.5 hours/week
MondayFriday; most schools begin at 7:30 AM or 8:00 AM
1:1 nursing assignment with one student
Student disabilities and medical needs vary and may include ventilator/tracheostomy care
Must be comfortable providing care for students with complex medical needs

Responsibilities:

Provide dedicated 1:1 nursing care and support
Monitor the students health and respond to medical needs
* Provide ventilator and tracheostomy care as required
* Administer medications and treatments
* Follow the students care plan and medical protocols
* Communicate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
* Maintain accurate health documentation

Qualifications:

Active Wisconsin RN or LPN license
CPR and AED certification
1 year of pediatric experience preferred
Comfortable with ventilator/tracheostomy care
Physically able to perform required duties, including lifting up to 50 lbs.
Valid Wisconsin drivers license
Must have worked as an RN or LPN within the past 2 years, or completed a refresher course within the past year
