Position Details: We are seeking a dedicated Infusion Registered Nurse to join our center in Walnut Creeak. Full-Time, 5 days, 8am to 4pm, 40 hours total.

What We Offer:

Qualifications:

Graduate of an accredited School of Professional Nursing.
Associate Degree in Nursing required; Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical RN experience in ICU, ER, or similar high-acuity settings.
Infusion experience preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Valid RN License.
Current American Heart Association BLS or ACLS/PALS certification.

Essential Functions:

Welcome patients and escort them to their private infusion rooms.

Ensure accurate and timely EMR documentation.
Maintain the flow of patient care and manage emergency situations calmly and effectively.
Keep infusion rooms clean and well-stocked.
Answer phone calls as needed, adhering to OSHA and HIPAA guidelines.

Job Description The Adult Infusion Centers at Mt. Zion and Mission Bay service the Medical Oncology population at UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center as well as any non-oncology infusion needs of patients at UCSF. The treatments include but are not limited to chemotherapy, biotherapy, immunotherapy, blood transfusions, hydration and electrolyte therapy, injections and blood draws, enzymes and iron infusions, and antibiotics. The centers collectively consist of over 100 chairs/beds and treatments include research and standard of care infusions. The Outpatient Infusion Clinical Nurse II delivers direct patient care to an assigned adult infusion outpatient population. This nurse is experienced and highly skilled with an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the cancer and non cancer disease process, the major treatment modalities, symptom management, supportive care, and patient education. The nurse utilizes an interdisciplinary approach across the continuum of care with adherence to National Patient Safety Goals set forth by regulatory requirements.
