What You'll Do

As a Labor & Birth RN, you will:

  • Provide exceptional patient-centered care throughout labor, delivery, and recovery
  • Assess, monitor, and respond to changing maternal and fetal conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized plans of care
  • Educate and support patients and families
  • Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary care teams
  • Utilize fetal monitoring, laboratory, and diagnostic data to guide care decisions
  • Participate in bedside handoffs and patient safety initiatives
  • Contribute to quality improvement efforts and evidence-based practice
  • Maintain professional growth through certifications, continuing education, and specialty development

Qualifications

Required

  • Graduate of an accredited Nursing Program (ADN, Diploma, or BSN)
  • Current RN License or eligibility for licensure in the state of Missouri
  • BLS Certification through the American Heart Association (or obtained within 30 days of hire)
  • Previous RN experience in an acute care or applicable clinical setting

Additional Certifications May Include

  • ACLS
  • NRP
  • S.T.A.B.L.E.
  • C-EFM
  • PALS
  • Other unit-specific certifications as required

Physical Requirements

This position requires the ability to:

  • Lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly
  • Stand and walk for extended periods throughout shifts
  • Reach, bend, kneel, squat, twist, and perform direct patient care activities
