Position Details

Location: Tampa, FL

School Year: 2026-2027

Hours: 36.5 hours per week

Schedule: School-day hours with early release every Monday


Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing services to students in the school setting
  • Manage school clinic operations
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
  • Address student health concerns and emergencies
  • Maintain health records and documentation
  • Collaborate with school staff, families, and healthcare providers
  • Travel between school sites as needed

Qualifications

  • Active Florida LPN or RN license
  • Current CPR certification
  • RN candidates must possess a BSN to qualify for RN pay rates

*Important Information*

- HCPS requires district fingerprinting in addition to AHCA requirements for all healthcare professionals working within the district.

- Previous HCPS employees must also complete the HCPS fingerprinting process.

As a Correctional Nurse , you will work alongside correctional officers and other medical professionals to provide care to the individuals in residence.
