Develops individual health care plan (ICHP) when needed with specific goals, nursing diagnosis, and interventions delineating school-nursing actions unique to students' needs and for incorporation into the student's individualized educational plan (IEP). Intervenes as guided by the nursing care plan to implement nursing actions that promote, maintain or restore health, prevent illness and effect rehabilitation. Serves as a member of school teams as designated health care professional (e.g., Crisis Teams, PPT, Section 504).       Clinical Nursing Supervisor

      GENERAL STATEMENT The Clinical Nurse Supervisor is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the clinical experiences for student Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) candidates. This individual will provide on-site supervision for all pre-nursing students during their clinical rotations, collaborate with classroom instructors and clinical sites to schedule student clinical hours, and meet regularly with Therapeutic Pathway - PreNursing classroom teachers to review student progress and provide in-class supports as needed. The supervisor will also ensure that both didactic and clinical objectives align with the requirements of the Connecticut State Board of Nursing. REPORTS TO: Director of Career & Community Learning LOCATION: District MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES: Supervise and evaluate students during clinical experiences. Ensure that students complete the required clinical and instructional hours in compliance with federal and state regulations. Maintain knowledge of all clinical site requirements and expectations. Communicate effectively with students, teachers, parents, and clinical staff. Collect and compile information needed for student evaluations.
