Duties and Responsibilities for RN Supervisor:

  • Assist the Director of Nursing in directing the day-to-day functions of the nursing activities in accordance with current rules, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Assist in developing methods for coordinating nursing services with others resident services to ensure the continuity of the resident total regimen of care. complete accident/incident report as necessary.
  • Admit, discharge, transfer residents as required. Ensure that all aide trainees are under the direct supervision of a licensed nurse. 
  • Ensure that established policies and procedures are followed by all departmental personnel. 
  • Make daily rounds of the nursing department to ensure that all nursing service personnel are performing their work assignments in accordance with acceptable nursing standards. report finding to DNS.
  • Ensuring the delivery of effective, high-quality nursing care. Collaborating with healthcare professionals to adjust care plans based on changing needs.

Qualifications & Experience Requirements for RN Supervisor:

  • Previous Experience as a RN Supervisor preferred 
  • Licensed Registered Nurse
  • Must have an active Certification as an (RN) Registered Nurse in the state of CT
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Skilled Nursing with Charge Nurse, Unit Manager, or Supervisor experience. Current CPR certification
