What You'll Do

As the Director of Nursing, you will provide leadership and direction to the nursing department while working closely with facility leadership and the interdisciplinary team.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, oversee, and support all nursing operations within the facility

  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to nursing staff

  • Promote high standards of resident-centered care and clinical excellence

  • Monitor resident care practices and identify opportunities for improvement

  • Ensure nursing services remain compliant with state and federal regulations

  • Support survey readiness and ongoing quality improvement initiatives

  • Collaborate with facility leadership and interdisciplinary teams to improve resident outcomes

  • Oversee nursing policies, procedures, and clinical practices

  • Support staffing efforts, employee retention, and nursing team development

  • Participate in the hiring, onboarding, coaching, and development of nursing employees

  • Monitor clinical documentation and ensure accuracy and compliance

  • Address resident and family concerns with professionalism, compassion, and timely follow-up

  • Promote a positive workplace culture built around communication, teamwork, and accountability

What We're Looking For

  • Current RN license in Colorado or eligibility to obtain Colorado licensure

  • Previous nursing leadership experience preferred

  • Director of Nursing, Assistant Director of Nursing, or similar nursing leadership experience in a skilled nursing or long-term care setting strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal long-term care regulations

  • Experience with survey preparation, quality improvement, and clinical compliance

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities

  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills

  • Ability to lead with professionalism, accountability, and compassion
