A Day in the Life

Under the direction of a Registered Nurse, the Nursing Assistant provides support to the patient by assisting with basic care for daily living including bathroom assistance, bathing, maintaining hygiene, changing bedding, turning and repositioning, assisting in ambulation, serving and assisting with meals, and obtaining vital signs.

Overview Department: Medical Surgical Telemetry Schedule: Full-Time, Days 12 Hour Shift Hospital: Holy Family Medical Center- LTACH Location: Des Plaines, IL 60016 Responsibilities The Patient Care Assistant assists patients with activities of daily living, provides basic nursing care to all patients and assists in maintenance of a safe environment under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse in charge of the team and/or unit.
