Position Summary:

The Registered Nurse works under the supervision of the Director and is responsible for caring for the patient and the development of nursing plan of care.  RN performs assigned procedures that are within the scope of practice as set forth by the Iowa State Board of Nursing. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program required.

  • Active Iowa RN license (single-state or compact) required. If relocating, licensure must be updated to the new Primary State of Residence (PSOR) before employment begins.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
  • Recent RN experience

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • One (1) year Surgical or OR experience

Provide oversight and evaluation of clinical practices, patient outcomes and all practices associated with safety and quality patient care. The Clinical Manager will be competent to support patient care delivery for their area as needed. Project Management - Provide leadership for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, and completion of specific projects. Assure alignment of developing projects with organizational priorities and strategic plan. Develop project plans resource allocation, and timeline. Manage the day-to-day operational aspects of a project and scope. May direct assigned project team ensuring effective utilization of resources. Reports on progress of the project to all stakeholders. Provides detailed organizational communication plans when clinical operations are impacted. Integrate principles of inclusion throughout projects and daily operations. Financial Management - Engage with the day to operations that impact productivity. Conduct analysis, partner with others in decisions around resource allocation and recognize the impact of decisions on productivity. In collaboration with director; develop, implement and evaluate the department's annual operating and capital budget to achieve the organizational and departmental objectives. Analyze and monitor financial performance and assist in the reporting of financial results. Evaluate variances, determine underlying causes, and establish proposed solutions. Provides clinical practice leadership for the operation of specified patient services departments dedicated to the care of infants, children and adolescents. Provide direct support and oversight of clinical practice, coordination of patient care delivery, coaching and development of staff, and manage the work environment.
