Youll work approximately 16-20 hours per week over two and a half days, providing expert care and a nurturing presence for a 3-year-old requiring specialized medical attention during school hours.

Qualifications:

  • Active RN license required
  • Previous pediatric or school nursing experience preferred
  • Strong assessment and emergency response skills
  • Understanding and competence in suctioning, monitoring blood pressure, and administering emergency seizure medications
  • Familiarity with G-buttons and related care
  • Ability to communicate effectively with teachers, aides, and parents
  • Compassion, patience, and professionalism in caring for medically fragile students

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct 1:1 nursing care for a single 3-year-old student during school hours
  • Perform suctioning as needed to ensure airway patency
  • Regularly monitor vital signs, including ongoing blood pressure assessments
  • Administer emergency seizure medication promptly when required
  • Stay alert to the child's medical needs throughout the school day while collaborating with other school staff
  • Maintain thorough documentation of interventions and incidents
  • Provide a calm and reassuring presence for both the student and the educational team
