Registered Nurse School Setting in Fremont, CA

This contract-to-hire opportunity is based near Fremont, CA, and involves accompanying a student attending the California School for the Blind for one month. Qualifications:

  • Active RN license in California
  • Experience as an RN in school settings or with pediatrics
  • Proficiency in legal nurse consulting is a plus
  • Strong communication and documentation abilities
  • Empathy and patience working with students with visual impairments
  • Ability to work independently and handle medical needs in a school environment

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialized, 1:1 nursing support for a student throughout the assessment period
  • Monitor the student’s health status and document any changes or occurrences

  • Communicate with the student, family, and school personnel about health needs
  • Maintain accurate records in accordance with legal and school requirements
