Key Qualifications:

Active RN license and current CPR/BLS certification
Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric clinical settings
Familiarity with monitoring central lines (no direct care required during school hours)
Comfort with jejunostomy care and monitoring of an ostomy bag
Excellent communication skills for collaborating with educators, healthcare teams, and families
Ability to create an inclusive, supportive atmosphere for students with complex medical needs

Primary Responsibilities:

Monitor the students health status throughout the school day, with particular attention to her central line and jejunostomy/ostomy bag
Respond promptly and appropriately to any health concerns or emergencies that may arise
Maintain close documentation and clear communication with the students care team and guardians
Educate faculty and staff, as appropriate, about the students needs while maintaining confidentiality
Support the students participation in classroom and school activities, promoting safety and confidence
