Shift: Friday, Saturday and Sunday 6:00am-6:00pm

Job Description

  • Assess the residents’ needs and assist in developing and following individual care plans

  • Assure quality care is delivered through the utilization of CMA processes and guidelines

  • Identify and communicate changes in residents’ status to physicians, staff, and family members

  • Administer medications, and other direct care as prescribed and indicated

  • Communicate appropriate information to all staff to provide a smooth shift transition

  • Report any suspected abuse to appropriate authority

  • Document appropriately as needed or required in PCC

  • Push/pull 30 pounds of force required to move medication carts and to transport residents in wheelchair

 

Qualification

  • Certified Medication Aide certification for Iowa

  • Current CPR certification

Ensure that no medication is administered without a written, signed and dated order from an attending licensed physician. What you need: Current Medication Aide Certification for NC. Must have a current/active CPR certification preferred. Effective verbal and written English communication skills. Demonstrated intermediate to advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook, Internet and Intranet navigation. Highest level of professionalism with the ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to communicate at all levels of organization and work well within a team environment in support of company objectives. Customer service oriented with the ability to work well under pressure. Strong attention to detail and accuracy, excellent organizational skills with ability to prioritize, coordinate and simultaneously maintain multiple projects with high level of quality and productivity. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Ability to work with minimal supervision, take initiative and make independent decisions.
