Nemours Children’s Health is seeking a bilingual Advanced Practice Provider to join our primary care team at our St. Francis location in Wilmington, Delaware. This position is open to qualified Physician Assistants and Pediatric Nurse Practitioners who are passionate about providing high-quality, family-centered care and supporting the health and well-being of children in a diverse community.

Our Nemours primary care practices provide a kid-friendly, family-centered pediatric primary care experience for families. With convenient locations throughout the region, we deliver quality, professional primary care services with a special focus on preventive care, whole-child wellness and building trusted relationships with patients and families.

Key Responsibilities

Provide comprehensive pediatric primary care services for infants, children and adolescents in collaboration with the physician and care team.
Support preventive care, routine wellness visits, immunizations, acute care needs and chronic condition management.
Deliver culturally responsive care and communicate effectively with Spanish-speaking patients and families.
Partner with families to promote whole-child wellness, healthy development and ongoing preventive care.
Collaborate with physicians, nurses and other care team members to ensure coordinated, high-quality care.

Qualifications

PNP- Active unrestricted Delaware or compact state RN and APRN licensure, Delaware prescriptive authority (CSR), Delaware DEA with a Delaware address, and a BLS from the American Heart Association.
PA-C- Active unrestriced Delaware Physician Assistance license or compact state, National Certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants; DE Prescriptive Authority; DE Federal DEA; BLS from the American Heart Association.
Three years of related clinical experience required
Excellent written, phone, and interpersonal communication skills required.
Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish required.
Experience in pediatric primary care preferred.
Strong commitment to family-centered care, team-based collaboration and serving diverse communities.

Complies with all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) requirements in accordance with federal, state and organizational policies. 4. Participates in organizational monitoring of the quality of medical services and quality improvement initiatives. 5. Assumes responsibility for personal growth. Develops, maintains and upgrades professional knowledge and practice skills through attendance at seminars, conferences and participation in continuing education and in-service classes. 6. Fulfills the obligation of requested and/or accepted assignments. 7. Demonstrates knowledge in communication and counseling patients/families in dealing with end-of-life issues. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS 1. Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing and accredited Nurse Practitioner Program. 2. Has a current DEA license, if applicable to state regulations 3. Current nursing licensure in State and CPR certification. 4. Master's degree with a minimum of one (1) year Nurse Practitioner experience and a minimum of one (1) year hospice or palliative care experience. 5. Accreditation from an approved certifying body for advanced practice nursing as required by State. 6. Certification in a specialist area preferred; (e.g. Hospice and Palliative Nursing (CHPN), Pediatrics or Geriatrics) 7. Excellent observation, verbal and written communication skill, problem solving skills, mathematical skills; nursing skills per competency checklist. 8. Prolonged or considerable walking or standing.
