Make a difference every day for students with significant medical needs in a supportive educational environment. This contract role is ideal for compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) or Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) ready to impact the lives of children and young adults. You'll work alongside another dedicated nurse, serving approximately 50 students who require a high degree of care, including feeding, toileting, seizure monitoring, and g-tube management.

Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active LPN or LVN license.
  • Previous experience supporting individuals with complex medical needs, preferably in a school or pediatric setting.
  • Proficiency in g-tube care, wheelchair transfers, and seizure protocols.
  • Ability to lift and provide physical assistance as needed.
  • Strong communication skills and a team-oriented mindset.
  • Adaptability and professionalism when working in classroom environments.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver daily nursing care for students, including feeding, toileting assistance, monitoring for seizures, and managing g-tubes.
  • Administer medication and document all care according to school policies and best practices.
  • Travel between classrooms to provide care where needed, collaborating closely with educators and support staff.
  • Support and educate school staff to ensure a safe, inclusive environment for medically fragile students.
  • Respond to health emergencies and provide first aid as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate health records and communicate regularly with families and healthcare teams.

This contract opportunity runs Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM 4:30 PM, offering a structured, daytime schedule. You'll never be on your owncollaborate with another nurse and become a trusted resource for students, staff, and families.
