POSITION OVERVIEW:

Under direction from Providers, Acute Care Director and Charge Nurse, the Registered Nurse delivers care to patients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. Nurses collaborate with other professional disciplines to ensure effective patient care delivery and achievement of desired patient outcomes. Nurses effectively interact with patient and significant others, while maintaining the standard of professional nursing. Hospital Nurses provide care for pediatric and adult patients before and after surgical procedures, and with a broad range of medical conditions. Gives direction to , LPN, CNA, Housekeeping Staff, Dietary Staff. Receives direction from Providers, Acute Care Director, Charge Nurse and CNO

EDUCATION:

  • RN nursing graduate, required

EXPERIENCE:

  • No minimum requirement
  • Med/ Surgical Nursing experience preferred, 
  • Pediatric Nursing experience preferred.

LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS:

  • Montana RN Licensure, required
  • BLS, ACLS, PALS certification to be completed with 6 months of hire.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

  • Basic Nursing Principles and Procedures. 
  • Basic office skills, IV skills.

Previous acute-care hospital nursing experience. 2–3 years of recent Emergency Department and/or acute-care nursing experience preferred. ED, Med-Surg, and telemetry experience preferred. Strong clinical judgment, prioritization, communication, and organizational skills. Ability to work independently while remaining an engaged member of the healthcare team. Basic computer and electronic health record proficiency.
