Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)

Overview:

Oxford Clinic for Women, a Partner Practice of Together Women’s Health (TWH), an industry leading network of medical providers in the women’s health field, is looking for a part-time Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join their clinical team. As an experienced practitioner, the LPN is accountable for providing high quality, individualized, goal directed care for all patients and their families through the nursing process; collaborating with physicians and multidisciplinary team members; providing physical and psychological support to patients, friends, and families.

 

This position is typically scheduled Monday-Wednesday, 8:00 AM-5:00 PM CST. Schedule may vary based on practice needs and staff coverage. No weekends.

Responsibilities:
  • Escorts patients to and from exam rooms and readies them for physicians; takes vital signs, records medical history/symptoms, ensures medical chart/lab test results are available and complete
  • Prepare patients for and assist with examination or treatments
  • Communicates to patients and office coordinators follow-up appointments, ancillary and/or pre-operative testing and scheduling needed for patient
  • Provides education and information to patients and family members
  • Consults with other specialties and disciplines as appropriate to meet all health care needs of patients
  • Uses organizational skills to effectively complete assignments in timely manner
  • Cleans and stocks all patient examination rooms; cleans and prepares instruments for procedures; keeps list of needed medical supplies
  • Completes paperwork such as ordering lab tests, x-rays, school/work notes, FMLA, etc.
  • Counsels’ patients concerning lifestyle modifications, medication regimens, side effects, and interactions using an appropriate psychosocial communication level
  • Understand and enforce standard health care regulatory requirements
  • Perform office procedures including all general administrative duties
  • Document Electronic Medical Record (EMR) all medical interventions
  • Assure HIPAA and OSHA compliance
Qualifications:
  • Current license to practice as an LPN
  • Current CPR certification
  • An Associate's or bachelor’s degree, or higher
  • Excellent customer service skills with a commitment to delivering excellent, passionate, innovative care

Licensed Practical Nurse

Baptist Urgent Care is looking for dedicated and compassionate LPNs to join our team in Batesville, MS. JOB SUMMARY: The LPN will be responsible for greeting patients, activating patient files and providing support to patients and medical staff. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES: The following duties and responsibilities generally reflect the expectations of this position but are not intended to be all inclusive. Other duties may be assigned. • Greeting patients and preparing them for examination or procedure. Recording health history of patient and noting abnormal conditions for physician. Instructing patients on collection of any necessary samples and tests. Obtaining vital signs and escorting patients to rooms • Assisting with the preparation of supplies and equipment and aiding the physician or mid-level practitioner during treatment, examination, and testing of patients • Giving injections, administering prescribed medications as directed by physician and in accordance with nursing standards. Observing, recording, and reporting patient’s condition and reaction to drugs and treatments to physicians • Ensuring that patient chart entries are made accurately and in a timely matter and forwarding charts as appropriate. Maintaining patient files, records, and other information • Assisting with scheduling of tests and treatments.
