What you'll bring:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
  • Current Certified School Nurse (CSN) certification (required)
  • Prior experience in school nursing or pediatric care is highly preferred

Key responsibilities:

  • Provide direct nursing care to students and staff, addressing injuries, illnesses, and chronic health needs
  • Administer medications and perform health procedures in accordance with physician orders and district policy
  • Develop and maintain individualized health plans for students with specific medical needs
  • Conduct health screenings and maintain accurate health records
  • Educate students and staff on health and wellness topics
  • Serve as a resource to the school community regarding communicable diseases and health protocols

RN (School Nurse) Needed Monday-Friday Weekly Pay! SUMMARY Under general supervision, is responsible for providing medical treatment, first aid, emergency care and medications for students in the school programs, under the direction of a Registered Nurse and in accordance with company policies, the regulations and requirements of applicable regulatory agencies and the standards of the profession. Participates in consultative process with parents and team members. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The duties and responsibilities of the Licensed Practical Nurse - Children's Services will include, but are not limited to the following: Serves and participates as a member of interdisciplinary team. Is responsible for assisting Registered Nurse in coordinating and following through on provisions of health care services for students in program. Keeps progress notes under supervision of registered nurse for each student and summarizes for quarterly, semi-annual and annual reviews. Provides regular and PRN health care to students receiving services as instructed by registered nurse. Provides direct hygiene and health instruction to staff, students receiving services and families as required. Handles control of communicable diseases and infections through identification and assessment. Reports to consulting physician and Infection Control Nurse.
