School-Based Registered Nurse (RN) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Youll serve a single school site, supporting the health room and working with a diverse population of school-aged children.

Qualifications:

  • Current, valid WI RN License
  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited institution
  • Active CPR and AED certification
  • At least one year of experience in pediatrics preferred
  • Must have worked as an RN within the last two years, or completed a refresher course within the last year
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and meet the physical demands of the job
  • Valid Wisconsin drivers license
  • Strong interpersonal, assessment, and documentation skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver nursing care and first aid to students and staff in the school health room
  • Monitor student health, administer medications, provide chronic disease support, and maintain confidential medical records
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and administrators on health-related student needs
  • Implement individualized health plans and ensure compliance with safety protocols
  • Promote general wellness and health education throughout the school community
  • Respond promptly to health emergencies and coordinate with local healthcare providers when needed
