Qualifications:

Active Wisconsin RN or LPN license
Current CPR and AED certification
Minimum one year of pediatric experience preferred
Must have recent experience as an RN or LPN (within the last 2 years) or have completed a refresher course in the past year
Comfortable with or certified in ventilator/tracheostomy care
Capacity to lift up to 50 pounds as required to support student needs
Valid Wisconsin drivers license

Responsibilities include:

Delivering safe, skilled nursing care to a designated student within a school setting, focusing on their health needs and safety
Monitoring for changes in health status and responding appropriately
Implementing physician-ordered interventions and reporting on well-being
Documenting care thoroughly while maintaining clear communication with school staff and families
Promoting a supportive, inclusive environment for the students participation in school activities

This is a remote position, where you will partner with people in your community who are enrolled in the Wisconsin IRIS program – a Medicaid long-term care option for older adults and people with disabilities. People in the IRIS program who need personal care services have the choice to enroll in the IRIS Self-Directed Personal Care (IRIS SPDC) option. While this role is home-based, you will have regularly scheduled visits with people in their homes and communities. As an IRIS SDPC RN, you’ll play an important role in helping people of various backgrounds and abilities live their lives the way they choose.
