Job Description:

Nursing is the diagnosis and treatment of human response to actual or potential health problems. This includes establishing an intentional therapeutic relationship between a registered nurse and a patient and family. As a leader and the integrator of care, the professional nurse has the responsibility, authority, and accountability for planning, coordinating and evaluating the patient’s care needs.

Focuses on patients receiving care in an outpatient setting, playing a critical role in coordination and delegation of care. RN may delegate responsibilities to an LPN or MA based on scope of practice. Individuals in this role will work in an outpatient clinic setting.

Principle Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

  • Associate's or Vocational degree graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • New graduate hires must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing which is inclusive of clinical rotations in an acute care setting (American Association of Colleges of Nursing or National League for Nursing)
  • Internal clinic employees who have functioned successfully as a CMA or LPN with a minimum of 3 years may be considered from an accredited school that does not have clinical rotations
  • 0 to 2 years RN experience
  • May consider new graduate RN

  • Bachelor's degree graduate of an accredited school of nursing


Licenses/Certifications

  • Licensed Registered Nurse - MN Board of Nursing required if working in the state of MN upon hire

As a Director of Nursing you are the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect by instilling a positive and inclusive facility culture, setting and attaining Nursing Department goals, inspiring your clinical team, creative problem solving and overseeing all aspects of the Clinical Department. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care. To be eligible for consideration applicants should have: As a minimum, Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of MN Registered Nurse (R.N.) license, 5 years of R.N. experience, and previous experience managing a department.
