Schedule: This position will be working 0.75 FTE (60 hours every two weeks). The shift length will be 12 hours on the EVENING shift (3p-3:30a), variable schedule and will also work every third weekend.

 

About the Emergency Department at Woodwinds:

  • 23 beds
  • Average 100 pts per day.
  • Each day is different and the environment is fast paced and collaborative

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will be responsible for:

  • Assessing patient needs and identifying expected nursing outcomes;
  • Developing an individualized nursing plan of care;
  • Implementing interventions as needed during treatment based on the plan of care;
  • Evaluating care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes;
  • Using communication strategies to achieve desirable outcomes;
  • Coordinating care with members of the health care team and delegating responsibilities to others as appropriate;
  • Demonstrating the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways, and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes;
  • Promoting a culture of evidence based practice (EBP) by participating in a multitude of available opportunities; and
  • Performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act

Required Qualifications:

  • Valid RN licensure from MN Board of Nursing
  • 1+ years of current ED RN experience 
  • Charge Capable preferred
  • Valid Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification from American Heart Association, by end of orientation
  • TNCC certification within 12 months of hire
  • PALS/ENPC certifications within 18 months of hire
  • Associate degree in Nursing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Nursing

The Medical Coding Auditor is required to determine the accuracy of claims submitted by a provider to UnitedHealth Group by comparing it to the medical record(s) submitted for the date(s) of service being reviewed.
