Responsibilities for Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Direct the day-to-day functions of the nursing assistants. Meet with your assigned nursing staff, as well as support personnel, in planning the shift’s services, programs and activities.
  • Make written & oral reports/recommendations concerning the activities of the shift as required. Admit, transfer and discharge residents as required. Provide leadership to nursing personnel assigned to your unit/shift.
  • Prepare & administer medications as ordered by the physician.
  • Develop & maintain a good working rapport with inter-departmental personnel, as well as other departments within the facility to ensure that nursing services and activities can be adequately maintained to meet the needs of the residents.
  • Monitor your assigned personnel to ensure that they are following established safety regulations in the use of equipment and supplies.
  • Maintain confidentiality of all resident care information including protected health information.

 

Qualifications for Registered Nurse (RN):

  • Current Illinois Nursing License (Required)
  • Current CPR certification (Preferred)

 

Rate Range: $36.00 - $40.00 (hourly)   Dependent on Nursing Experience.

Obtain /assist in wound specimen collection as ordered by the physician. Update the family/responsible party and attending physician for any changes on wound assessment. Assist in developing a written plan of care for each customer that identifies the problems/needs of the customer and be able to evaluate the delivery of care. Attends and actively participate in customer care plan conference. Consult with other nurses, management, and other related health professionals to assist in assessing, planning, and delivering and evaluating patient care. Plan, conduct and participate in In-service Education Programs, workshops, seminars, conferences, and courses. Make written and oral reports including recommendations concerning the wound care program. Ensure that the wound assessment reflects that the care plan is being followed. Participate in the development, maintenance, and implementation of the facility’s Quality Assurance program for the Wound Care Program. Coordinate facility wound audits with the nursing staff. Make daily rounds to assure that nursing personnel are performing required duties related to the wound care program, and to assure that wound care protocols and procedures are being followed.
