Key Qualifications:

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Kansas
Previous experience in a school setting or pediatric care preferred
Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Ability to communicate effectively with students, families, and school personnel
Compassionate, patient, and attentive to detail

Responsibilities:

Deliver individualized nursing care throughout the school day to a medically fragile student
Administer medications, manage complex medical needs, and monitor vital signs as required
Collaborate closely with special education staff, teachers, and parents to support the students education and health plans
Document health observations and maintain accurate records in compliance with school policies
Respond promptly to any health emergencies and implement care plans accordingly
Help facilitate the students safe participation in classroom and school activities
