The Sexual Health Department in a small, interdisciplinary team that primarily promotes public health initiatives funded through grants and awards. Public health initiatives include prevention, testing, and treatment for HIV, HCV, and sexually transmitted infections; harm reduction health programming such as preventative care, acute and chronic disease management, and wound care; education and counseling to promote safer sex and use strategies. Principal Accountabilities Patient Assessment: Perform systematic, comprehensive, and accurate assessments. Assess potential discharge needs during the initial assessment process. Administers medications to patients and monitor effects of medications and treatments and report adverse effects in a timely manner. Assess patient for pain level. Provide appropriate intervention, reassessment, and documentation. Systematically monitor the maintenance of protocols, standards, and plans of care. Plans and provides individualized patient education. Clinical Skills: Perform nursing-related skills and activities competently. Analyze situations critically. Job Description The Outpatient Radiology Nurse provides safe, efficient, and compassionate nursing care to patients undergoing outpatient diagnostic and interventional imaging procedures. The nurse supports patient flow and serves as a clinical resource for IV access, hydration therapy, contrast safety, and emergency response. Primary Responsibilities Perform IV insertion and port access for outpatient imaging procedures. Administer and monitor IV hydration as ordered in preparation for or following imaging studies.
