This contract position offers the chance to provide 1:1 care for a student throughout the entire 2026/27 school year. Key Qualifications:

  • Active RN or LPN/LVN license in New Jersey
  • Previous pediatric experience strongly preferred (new graduates will not be considered)
  • Experience working in school environments is ideal
  • Ability to provide compassionate 1:1 care to students
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Reliable and punctual for bus riding and full school day coverage

Key Responsibilities:

  • Offer 1:1 nursing care for a student, including monitoring health needs throughout the school day
  • Accompany and supervise the student during daily bus transportation to and from school (approx. 7:50/8am - 3pm, Monday through Friday)
  • Respond promptly and efficiently to medical emergencies or prescribed health interventions on-site and in transit
  • Collaborate with educational staff, parents, and care teams to create a supportive environment
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation according to school policies and state regulations
  • Model professionalism and support the student’s health, safety, and inclusion in daily activities
