Exciting opportunity for licensed nurses seeking a dynamic school-based position in the West New York, NJ area! This full-time contract role supports a student on a 1:1 basis for the entire 2026/27 school year, with an immediate start date. Key Qualifications & Experience:

  • Active RN or LPN/LVN nursing license (New Jersey)
  • Pediatric nursing background required; experience in a school setting is a plus
  • Not accepting new graduates for this role
  • Skilled in providing 1:1 care and responding to students’ medical needs during the school day
  • Comfortable supervising and providing care while riding the school bus
  • Strong communication and organizational abilities

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive, compassionate nursing care on a 1:1 basis for a student throughout the school day
  • Ride the school bus with the student, providing support and monitoring en route to and from school
  • Oversee health and safety needs, administering medications and treatments as required
  • Maintain clear, accurate health records and communication with school staff and student’s caregivers
  • Collaborate with teachers, aides, and other professionals to ensure a safe, inclusive learning environment
  • Exhibit professionalism, flexibility, and empathy in all interactions

This schedule runs Monday through Friday, approximately 7:50/8:00am to 3:00pm. You’ll play a vital, hands-on role ensuring your student’s health and well-being, all while engaging with the broader school community.
