School Registered Nurse (RN) in Orange, NJ

A rewarding opportunity is available for Registered Nurses with school-based experience to support students health and wellness across a district near Orange, NJ. This full-time position spans 35 hours each week, Monday through Friday from 8:15 AM to 3:15 PM, and is ideal for professionals ready to make an impact in a dynamic educational environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and continues through June 25, 2027, offering stability and the chance to serve students and staff in multiple school buildings.

Key Qualifications:

• Valid New Jersey School Nurse (RN) licensure required
• Prior experience as a school nurse within educational settings
• Comfortable working across diverse school populations throughout the district
• Capable of servicing caseloads and maintaining high standards of care
• Strong leadership skills to oversee health needs for entire school buildings
• Ability to adhere to onboarding requirements, including TB test, physical, and fingerprinting for both agency and district
• Reliable transportation and close proximity for easy commute
• Only RN candidates will be considered (LPNs do not qualify)

Responsibilities:

• Deliver high-quality health services to students and staff at various school sites
• Administer first aid, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies
• Facilitate communication between families, school staff, and healthcare providers
• Monitor and maintain accurate health records and documentation
• Oversee and manage health protocols and safety standards at each assigned school
• Serve as a resource for health education initiatives across the district
