School Registered Nurse (RN) in Edison, NJ

Seeking a dynamic Registered Nurse with school-based experience to provide exceptional healthcare services across multiple school buildings. This full-time, contract opportunity spans 35 hours per week, with working hours from 8:15AM until 3:15PM. The assignment begins as soon as possible and runs through June 25, 2027, offering two openings to support district-wide needs.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

Active NJ School Nursing RN license required
Strong background in school nursing; LPNs will not be considered
Demonstrated experience overseeing care within school settings
Skilled in servicing diverse student caseloads
Adaptable and comfortable working throughout an entire district
Reliable transportation and close commute necessary
Willingness to complete onboarding steps: TB test, physical, fingerprinting (agency and district)
Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively

Primary Responsibilities:

Deliver comprehensive nursing care to students and staff across assigned school buildings
Oversee and manage student health plans and medication administration
Respond swiftly and appropriately to health emergencies
Maintain accurate health records in compliance with school and state guidelines
Collaborate with educators, staff, and families to promote a healthy learning environment
Travel between sites within the district as needed to address urgent or routine health concerns
