Desired Qualifications:

  • Active and unrestricted LPN or RN license in Pennsylvania
  • Previous pediatric, school nurse, or 1:1 nursing experience is strongly desired
  • Strong assessment skills, particularly in seizure recognition and response
  • Experience with or knowledge of the needs related to Phelan-McDermid syndrome is a plus
  • Excellent communication skills to collaborate with educational staff and the students family
  • Current CPR/BLS certification

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide vigilant, attentive 1:1 coverage from 9AM-3PM during school days
  • Monitor the student for seizure activity and respond promptly per the care plan
  • Administer oxygen as needed and maintain accurate records of all health-related activities
  • Assist with any daily medical needs or interventions
  • Communicate effectively with school professionals and caregivers regarding the students health status
