RESPONSIBILITIES/JOB DUTIES: Demonstrates the knowledge of needs and task for SDS/PACU/Endo such as assessments, obtaining patient history, critical thinking skills, notifying physician as needed, specimens, handwashing, etc. Holds self and other staff members accountable and responsible for work performance and continuous improvement of patient in his/her work area and throughout the hospital. Ensures self-compliance with professional, regulatory and government standards of care. Demonstrates teamwork through communication, cooperation, coordination, and conflict resolution with others and implementing multidisciplinary actions to provide continuity of care. Ensures the satisfactory completion of clinical procedures, documentation, educational and procedural teaching of the patient and their significant other/parent before and after surgery. JOB SUMMARY: The Surgical Circulator RN is a professional registered nurse responsible for the coordination and delivery of nursing care to patients undergoing surgical or invasive procedures.
