American Traveler is hiring a CVOR RN for a day-shift academic medical center position requiring 1 year of CVOR experience and MO or compact RN licensure. Job details: - Work in the CVOR unit of an academic, tertiary care medical center - Day shift schedule, 4x10 hours from 0600-1630 - Call required, split among CV staff approximately 14 times per month including weekend call - Floating required to Vascular and General surgery units - 1:3 patient ratio - Epic charting system required Requirements: - Active RN license (MO state or compact) currently in hand - Current certifications: ACLS and BLS required; CNOR and TNCC preferred - Minimum 1 year of CVOR experience required - Epic EMR experience required - Level 1 Trauma experience preferred - Teaching hospital experience preferred - Previous charge experience preferred Additional information: - Provide perioperative nursing care across CVOR, vascular, cardiovascular, thoracic, and general surgery cases - Duties may include scrubbing for procedures such as CABG, TAVR, VATS, and vascular repairs - Utilizes specialized equipment including cell saver, electrosurgical units, and fiber optic light sources - Must be able to respond to emergency situations including code response and fire safety protocols - Candidates residing within 70 miles of the facility are considered local and are not accepted - First-time travelers are welcome to apply as long as they meet the 1 year CVOR experience requirement - Clinicians cannot work past 1 year as a traveler and must take a 6 month break before returning
