We are seeking a RN to support our cardiovascular clinic by providing patient triage, coordinating follow-up care, and serving as a key clinical resource for patients and providers. This role works closely with physicians and advanced practice providers to assess patient needs, manage clinical questions, review test results, and facilitate timely care plans. The RN will help ensure seamless communication, efficient patient flow, and a high-quality patient experience across the continuum of cardiovascular care. Strong clinical judgment, organizational skills, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment are essential. This practice serves the highest acuity of Cardiovascular patients in the State of Indiana. Cardiovascular or ICU experience preferred.

Core Office Hours: Monday - Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM. 

No weekends! No holidays! No call!

  • Requires an Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelors of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
  • Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
  • Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program. Exceptions: Candidates who have not graduated from a nationally accredited program may be considered if they possess more than two years of relevant clinical experience. Such exceptions are subject to review and approval by the Chief Nursing Officer (CNO).
  • Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
  • Other advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
  • May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
  • Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.

PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: All duties and responsibilities are expected to be performed in accordance with Fresenius Kidney Care policy, procedures, standards of nursing practice, state and federal regulations. · Performs all essential functions under the direction of the Supervisor and with guidance from the Clinical Educator, Preceptor or in collaboration with other Registered Nurses. · Performs ongoing, systematic collection and analysis of patient data pre – during – post hemodialysis treatment for assigned patients and documents in the patient medical record, makes adjustments or modifications to treatment plan as indicated and notifies Team Leader, Charge Nurse, Supervisor or Physician as needed. · Assesses, collaborates, and documents patient/family’s basic learning needs to provide initial and ongoing education to patients and family. · Directs and provides, in collaboration with direct and ancillary patient care staff, all aspects of the daily provision of safe and effective delivery of hemodialysis therapy to assigned patients. · Administers medications as prescribed or in accordance with approved algorithm(s), and documents appropriate medical justification and effectiveness. · Initiates or assists with emergency response measures. · Serves as a resource for health care team, participates in staff training and orientation of new staff as assigned. · Ensures correct laboratory collection, processing and shipping procedures are performed and reschedules missed or insufficient laboratory collections. · Identifies expected outcomes, documents and updates the nursing assessment and plan of care for assigned patients through collaboration with the Interdisciplinary Team. · Ensures patient awareness related to transplant and treatment modality options. · Required to complete CAP requirements to advance. · Performs all other duties as assigned by Supervisor.
