Job details: - Labor and Delivery unit within a hospital setting - Night shift schedule, 3x12-hour shifts from 19:00 to 07:00 - 13-week assignment length - Any charting system experience accepted, though preferred Requirements: - Active CA RN license required - Current certifications required: ACLS, BLS, NRP, and AWHONN Advanced - Minimum 2 years of Labor and Delivery experience required - Previous charge experience preferred - Skilled in IV therapy, phlebotomy, and administration of blood and blood products - Experienced with medication administration including antihypertensives, antiseizure medications, magnesium sulfate, Pitocin, and Terbutaline - Proficient in neonatal care in the delivery room, including APGAR scoring and ID/security banding - Skilled in labor and delivery management including vaginal delivery assistance, C-section circulation and recovery, and sterile vaginal exams - Experienced in postpartum care including management of bladder distension, cesarean section, and pregnancy-induced hypertension - Knowledgeable in pain management including epidural anesthesia and IV PCA use - Skilled in postpartum procedures including fundus, lochia, and perineum care - Experienced in antepartum care including obstetrical triage and external fetal monitoring - Proficient in isolation precautions and PPE use - 2 supervisor references obtained within the past year required Additional information: - Provide comprehensive care across antepartum, labor and delivery, and postpartum stages - Perform fetal monitoring using external fetal heart monitoring (EFM) equipment - Holiday coverage may be required for New Year's Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, and Christmas Day, with only one holiday request approved per contract - Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract - Local candidates accepted at local rate within a 50-mile radius - Returning staff or travelers must have a minimum 1-year separation before returning to this facility
