Autumn Lake Healthcare is an exceptional team-oriented company hiring for a Regional Director of Nursing (Regional DON). We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated nursing leader to provide clinical leadership, guidance, and support across multiple skilled nursing facilities.

The Regional Director of Nursing will work closely with facility leadership and Directors of Nursing to support strong clinical operations, regulatory compliance, quality outcomes, and effective nursing practices throughout the region.

Responsibilities of the Regional Director of Nursing:

  • Provide clinical leadership and oversight to Directors of Nursing and nursing teams across assigned facilities

  • Support facilities with regulatory compliance, survey readiness, and plans of correction

  • Monitor clinical outcomes, quality measures, staffing practices, and overall nursing operations

  • Identify opportunities for improvement and partner with facility leadership to implement effective action plans

  • Provide guidance and support with clinical policies, procedures, and best practices

  • Assist with onboarding, development, and ongoing support of nursing leadership

  • Conduct facility visits and provide hands-on support as needed

  • Collaborate with facility and regional leadership to promote high-quality resident care

Qualifications & Experience Requirements for Regional Director of Nursing:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required

  • Previous Director of Nursing experience in skilled nursing/long-term care required

  • Regional or multi-facility nursing leadership experience strongly preferred

  • Strong knowledge of state and federal regulations governing skilled nursing facilities

  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills

  • Ability to travel between assigned facilities as needed
