School Registered Nurse (RN) in Leander, TX

Embark on a meaningful contract opportunity as a registered nurse in a school-based setting, supporting students and making a direct impact on their educational journey. This role is located near Leander, TX, and involves working onsite in partnership with an Adult Transition Services Camp, providing 1:1 care to a student. The position is available for immediate start and will run through May 21, 2027.

Youll play a vital part in ensuring the well-being of a student, collaborating with school staff and families to deliver top-tier care within an engaging, inclusive educational environment. Youll work approximately 4 hours per day, 34 days a week (exact days/hours to be determined).

Qualifications:

  • Active Registered Nurse (RN) licensure and certification in Texas (required)
  • Prior experience in school nursing or with pediatric populations preferred
  • Strong communication and advocacy skills
  • Ability to quickly adapt to school settings and maintain exceptional professionalism
  • Passion for supporting students with diverse needs

Responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 nursing care for a student at the Adult Transition Services Camp
  • Administer medications, monitor health status, and respond to immediate health concerns
  • Collaborate effectively with educators, families, and other medical professionals
  • Maintain accurate health records in accordance with nursing standards and school policies
  • Educate staff and students on general health, safety, and wellness best practices
