Job Description

As the Assistant Director of Nursing, you will assume 24-hour responsibility for the overall assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care on the unit. Coordinate and control all nursing activities and assume administrative and managerial responsibilities on a 24 hr basis. Monitor patient care to ensure that delivery is consistent with hospital and nursing department policies, procedures, and standards, as well as state DOH, JCAHO, and other accrediting agency standards.


Requirements:

Master's degree required.

Minimum 5 yrs Medical/Surgical or clinical experience required. Previous supervisory responsibilities required.

NYS RN license required.


Night Shift

Salary Range: $60/hr - $70hr

The Director of Nursing is responsible for supervising the nursing functions and for promoting a safe and therapeutic environment for clients who are detoxifying from substance dependency. The Director of Nursing shall be responsible for the direction, provision, and quality of nursing services provided to clients. What asks are required? Providing administrative oversight of the facility's nursing services, and where appropriate, directly supervising the facility's nursing staff. Assisting the Executive Director in developing and maintaining written objectives, policies and procedures related to nursing services, developing an organization plan, and developing a quality assurance program for nursing services, and reviewing all nursing policies and procedures, minimally, on an annual basis. Ability to be on the premises or available on-site or respond within 30 minutes during the facility's hours of operation. Demonstrated computer proficiency. Ability to assess needs and deliver nursing services to individuals detoxifying from substance abuse. Ability to screen for psychoactive substance toxicity, intoxication, and withdrawal symptoms.
