As an Infection Control nurse you are at the heart of the Clinical Department. Your work will ensure our residents receive the high standard of care they have grown to expect at Avantara Pierre by providing education to staff and assisting with the development, implementation and enforcement of infection control policies and procedures, identifying, controlling, and preventing outbreaks of infection in the facility, collecting and analyzing infection control data and acting as an infection control resource for employees, residents, and their family members. Our residents will depend on your knowledge, skills, and attention to detail to ensure they receive an unparalleled standard of care.

As a minimum, a bachelor’s degree in Science, Nursing or related field, an unencumbered State of South Dakota RN license and C.P.R. Certification. Five (5) years of experience as a R.N. and one (1) year of experience in an infection control position is preferable but we are willing to invest in the right candidate!
