Ridges Hospital is looking for a passionate and hardworking Registered Nurse to join our Med-Surg/Oncology unit! Located in Burnsville, just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis, MN, near the 35 E and 35 W conjunctions. Schedule: This role is a .8 FTE (64 hours every 2 weeks) working 8-hour day & evening shifts, with every other weekend rotation. Variable weekday schedule.

 

Responsibilities: 

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)

  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing

Job Overview The primary function of the Home Health Infusion Nurse is to provide exceptional in-home IV infusion therapy, nursing care, and response management. In addition, the Home Health Infusion Nurse will administer and monitor patients in the home during treatment and provide the necessary education on treatment regimen, condition management and treatment self-administration when appropriate.
