PACU Registered Nurse - PRN

We are currently seeking an experienced Preop PACU RN who would be available on PRN basis. This role requires a compassionate, detail-oriented RN who can provide high-quality postoperative care in a dynamic fertility clinic environment. If you have fertility experience, this is a plus! 

What you'll do in this role: 

  • Monitor and assess patients' recovery from anesthesia following fertility procedures.
  • Provide postoperative care, including pain management and administering medications as needed.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients' vital signs, symptoms, and overall well-being.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care.
  • Recognize and respond to signs of postoperative complications or emergencies.
  • Provide appropriate interventions and collaborate with the healthcare team to stabilize patients.
  • Educate patients on postoperative care, medication administration, and any specific instructions related to their fertility treatment.
  • Maintain and manage PACU equipment and supplies, ensuring they are clean, functional, and available.

What is required:

  • Current RN license to practice as a Registered Nurse in Texas
  • BLS

Perform all other duties as assigned . Qualifications Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing. One year of Pre Operative or PACU experience required Medical / surgical nursing experience Current state licensure to practice within good standings. Successful completion of Basic Life Support (BLS) or Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) within 90 days of employment or documentation of current BLS/BCLS certification. Successful completion of Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Course within 90 days of employment or documentation of current ACLS certification. Successful completion of Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) course is required when pediatric care is included in the facility scope services before the start date or documentation of current PALS certification.
