Under the direct supervision of the Clinical Manager, the Nurse Practitioner is responsible for primary care to patients acting as an assistant to physicians in the clinic, following established standards and practices. What you will do: Obtains complete medical history and physical data on patients. Interprets and integrates data to determine appropriate diagnostic and therapeutic procedures needed. Performs a complete physical exam and records findings. Collaborates with physicians in managing acute and long-term medical needs of patients. Orders appropriate laboratory and diagnostic procedures. Synthesizes data to determine preliminary diagnosis and therapeutic plan utilizing principles of prevention. Administers medication and injections according to physician direction. Maintains and reviews patients' records, charts and other pertinent information. Triages patient telephone calls and provides consultation. Performs diagnostic procedures (HSC, STP, Biopsies) and artificial insemination. Performs ultrasound for patients during morning monitoring. What is required: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Successful completion of an approved Nurse Practitioner program. A minimum of 3 years of nursing experience in a clinic setting. Valid Nurse Practitioner License, ANA Certification. Strong Written and Interpersonal communication skills. OB-GYN REI experience is preferred but not required. Ultrasound and phlebotomy experience preferred. Operates and maintains sterilization equipment, including steam autoclaves, for proper handling of surgical instruments and equipment. Assists with specimen collection processes, including escorting individuals to designated collection rooms, transferring samples to the embryology lab, and ensuring proper sanitation of collection areas. Education and Experience Requirements : Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ASN required; BSN preferred). Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of Indiana. Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Proficient in IV insertion and phlebotomy.
