Stroke/Chest Pain Coordinator (RN)

We are seeking a Stroke/Chest Pain - Coordinator. The Chest Pain Center Coordinator / Stroke Center Coordinator is responsible and accountable directly to the Quality Director.

Responsibilities

  • The Chest Pain - Stroke Program Coordinator is responsible for facilitating and coordinating the Key Elements of the Chest Pain Center Accreditation/Stroke Certification process, including development and review of protocols, initial and ongoing training, performance improvement and community outreach. 
  • This will be achieved by collaborating with the Emergency Department, ED Director, the Chest pain Committee, Stroke Committee, EMS, hospital department directors and staff.

Qualifications

 

  • Current and valid state RN License.
  • Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in an acute care hospital environment.
  • Excellent clinical, interpersonal and communication skills essential.
  • Team approach to patient care.
  • Working knowledge of computers and computer applications.
  • Day and evening flexibility required.
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
