School Registered Nurse (RN) in Brick, NJ

A full-time role awaits a compassionate Registered Nurse with a strong background in school nursing and expertise supporting students with special needs. Youll work in a health room setting, delivering care to a diverse group of students who need your skilled attention and genuine empathy.

What Youll Bring:

  • Active NJ Registered Nurse (RN) license required
  • Previous experience in a school setting, preferably as a school nurse
  • Skilled in managing care for students with special needs, including those with tracheostomies, feeding tubes (g-tubes), seizure disorders, and cerebral palsy
  • Confident in crisis intervention and emergency response
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families
  • Adaptability and a team-oriented attitude

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct healthcare to students in the school health room
  • Monitor and care for students with complex medical needs, ensuring safety and comfort
  • Administer medications and perform medical procedures such as g-tube feedings and trach care
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with educators and other professionals
  • Document nursing assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
  • Educate staff about student-specific medical concerns and emergency protocols
  • Serve as a resource and advocate for students health and wellness
