School Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Scranton, PA

This contract opportunity near Scranton, PA, is ideal for Certified Nurse Assistants who find fulfillment in 1:1 support and want to help young learners thrive. You'll work closely with a student diagnosed with muscle degeneration, ensuring safety, comfort, and opportunities for inclusion throughout their school experience.

Your role will involve collaborating alongside educators and administrators, advocating for the well-being of the student, and remaining flexible if support is needed elsewhere. This assignment runs from ASAP until June 11th, 2027, with a weekly schedule of 35-37.5 hours.

What we're looking for:

Active CNA Certification in Pennsylvania
Experience as a CNA, particularly with pediatric or school settings, is a plus
Comfortable supporting K-12th grade students
Compassionate, adaptable, and proactive attitude
Willingness to assist with toileting and a range of student needs
Ability to meet all Pennsylvania credentialing requirements for school-based staff
Positive references and clear background checks

Your day-to-day will include:

Providing 1:1 care and supervision for a student with muscle degeneration
Monitoring physical well-being throughout the school day
Supporting mobility and activities, including safe transfers and positioning
Assisting with toileting and hygiene needs as required
Being flexible to provide general classroom support if the primary student is absent
Maintaining accurate care records in line with school policy
Communicating effectively with staff, parents, and healthcare professionals
