Job Overview

Fairview is seeking an upbeat and energetic Registered Nurse for our Orthopedic Spine Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital in Burnsville, MN. Located just 20 minutes south of Minneapolis near the I-35E and I-35W corridors, Fairview Ridges has been providing state-of-the-art care and exceptional community services to residents of the scenic Minnesota River Valley since 1984.  The Orthopedic Spine Unit at Fairview Ridges Hospital provides specialized care for patients recovering from total joint replacements, spinal surgeries, and other orthopedic procedures, while also supporting medical overflow patients as needed. Our unit fosters a healthy, positive work environment for both staff and providers and is known for its collaborative, team-oriented culture and highly dedicated workforce. Nurses are supported by an engaged leadership team, including the nurse manager and patient care supervisor, and work alongside a multidisciplinary care team consisting of Registered Nurses (RNs), Nursing Assistants (NAs), and Nursing Station Technicians (NSTs). This is an excellent opportunity for nurses who are passionate about orthopedic and spine care and enjoy working in a supportive, patient-centered environment.

 

 

Schedule: This position is a .6 FTE, working 48 hours per 2 week pay period. This position works 12-hour shifts, every third weekend rotation (Fri,Sat,Sun), and on the night 7:00pm-7:30am shift.

 

 

The Registered Nurse is responsible for the assessment, planning, delivery, and evaluation of nursing care for all assigned patient population(s). The RN is responsible for performing these responsibilities in accordance with all policy, procedures, professional practice guidelines and the MN Nurse Practice Act. The RN coordinates care with members of the health care team and delegates responsibilities to others as appropriate.

Responsibilities

  • Assesses patient needs and identifies expected nursing outcomes.
  • Collaborates with patient, family and other health team members to develop a nursing plan as part of an integrated, comprehensive plan of care
  • Develops an individualized plan based on age, social and cultural considerations, condition and other relevant needs.
  • Evaluates care and patient response to interventions and expected outcomes.
  • Collaborates and communicates effectively and respectfully with the patient, family and members of the health care team within and across care settings to promote partnership-based health care
  • Demonstrates the ability to advance care by utilizing standards, guidelines, care pathways and continuous improvement to enhance patient outcomes.
  • Promotes a culture of evidence based practice (EBP)


Required Qualifications

  • MN Registered Nurse (RN) License
  • Basic Life Support (American Heart Assoc or Red Cross)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree in Nursing
  • 1 year experience

Job Overview The primary function of the Home Health Infusion Nurse is to provide exceptional in-home IV infusion therapy, nursing care, and response management. In addition, the Home Health Infusion Nurse will administer and monitor patients in the home during treatment and provide the necessary education on treatment regimen, condition management and treatment self-administration when appropriate. Requires the ability to work independently, be detail oriented and to handle multiple tasks in a fast paced environment Responsibilities Deliver care as delegated by physician, providing accurate and clinically appropriate infusion therapy assessments and interventions for all therapies, access devices and disease processes; assessing patient for health status changes, support systems and home environment, updating the care team and documenting in clinical record as indicated.
